Getting Symbols Right

We forget that Jesus was indicted as a blasphemer of God, a transgressor of the law, and a political insurrectionist, and then nailed to an instrument of death in a place they called "the place of the skull" because it was where they carried out public executions.
...we forget or gloss over the radical reality of following Christ.
